Spring Festival (chunjie), or Chinese New Year, is the most important celebration in China. Each year WMCI brings a variety of Chinese cultural festivities to W&M students, faculty, and the community in order to recreate the lively atmosphere of this festival. Everyone can enjoy traditional Chinese music, paper cutting, calligraphy, tea, snacks, and other activities.

During the 2015 Spring Fesitval, WMCI sponsored the Chinese Culture Day at Christopher Newport University, the New Year Celebration with CSSA and CUSA at William and Mary, the Peninsular Chinese American Association Spring Festival Celebration, with hundreds in attendance and featuring many marvelous performances.
