China-Focused or -Related Lectures

The William & Mary Confucius Institute (WMCI) is pleased to help support China-focused public lectures and performances. Funding is available to William & Mary faculty who wish to host distinguished scholars, artists, and practitioners whose public events and visits will contribute to promoting the study of Chinese language and culture at the university.

Applications for support are accepted on a rolling basis, but must be submitted at least one month before the proposed event. A faculty committee will review all applications and decide which should be funded. Approved requests will be funded up to $500 each.

Completion of the Publicity Request Form is a condition of receiving funding. This form should be completed prior to the event, leaving sufficient time to plan effective publicity. We request that you complete the form at least two weeks prior to the event. The information collected with this form will be used to publicize your event on the WMCI website and listserv. All other publicity must acknowledge the support of WMCI.

Any questions regarding funding may be directed to Associate Director [[yliu12, Ying Liu]].
