Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Good Luck on your exams and enjoy your break!

Before you leave:

  • Close and lock all windows.
  • Be sure water faucets are turned completely off.
  • If there is a heating unit with controls in your room please leave the control set on LOW.
  • Turn off stereo sytems, radios, lamps, alarm clocks, and all other electrical appliances.
  • Be sure all holiday decorations which you have placed on your door or in the hallways and lounges are completely removed and/or properly disposed of before you leave.
  • Residents are not required to empty their refrigerators. However, we strongly recommend that these are cleaned out to prevent spoilage resulting from any power outages that may occur during the break. Take home or discard all opened and perishable food.
  • Aquariums may be left plugged in but, due to possibility of power outages, alternative plans are recommended.
  • Lock your room door and take valuables home with you.  Although Campus Police will patrol the campus throughout the break, the College cannot guarantee the security of your possessions.

Storage

Student storage will be available for only those students traveling abroad in the Spring Semester. Landrum Attic is the only storage area. Students needing access should go to the Landrum duty office during regular duty hours. Special circumstances can contact Area Director Rich Schofield at x3182 or rpscho@wm.edu. Students should contact him at least 24 hours before they wish to have attic access.
