Herbert S. Wheary Mr. Wheary holds a B.S. in Chemistry and a Masters in Education from Virginia Tech. Prior to joining Dominion, he was employed by the Commonwealth of Virginia, where he developed and supervised energy programs promoting conservation, renewable resources and the use of Virginia coal. Herbert S. Wheary holds the position of Manager, Corporate Public Policy with Dominion Resources Services and has been with Dominion since 1984. In this capacity, he is responsible for analysis of issues and development of policy proposals for Dominion’s energy production and delivery business units. He monitors and addresses environmental policy issues and has been actively involved in electric industry restructuring at the state and federal levels. He serves as the company’s liaison to the Southern States Energy Board and currently chairs the Associate Members Committee of that organization. Over the past decade he has been involved in the issues associated with nuclear waste and has worked with the Southeast Compact Commission. He also serves on the Advisory Board of the Virginia Center for Coal & Energy Research and was recently elected to chair that board. |
