Phillip L. Rodenberg

Mr. Rodenberg holds a Master’s in Public Policy degree from the College of William & Mary and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication degree from the University of Oklahoma.

Mr. Rodenberg became Fredericksburg’s City Manager on July 1, 2003, after being appointed by the City Council.

Prior to coming to Fredericksburg, Mr. Rodenberg served as a municipal manager in two other historic Virginia communities. He was the Deputy Town Manager of Leesburg, from 2000 to 2003. He was the Assistant to the Manager, then Assistant City Manager of Williamsburg, from 1994 to 2000.

Prior to local government, Mr. Rodenberg worked in Washington, D.C., as a Legislative Assistant for a U.S. Congressman, as a technical staffer for a congressional committee, and then as a Legislative Director for a U.S. aircraft manufacturing trade association.
