Joseph H. Nash, Jr.
Class of '65

Mr. Nash holds a Bachelor of Science (biology) degree from the College of William and Mary and Master’s degree in Technology of Management from the American University in Washington, DC.

Mr. Nash has over 40 year’s experience.  His broad-based background is unique: he has both technical experience as a manager and policy analyst at EPA, DOE and the private sector.  Mr. Nash has also participated in numerous policy studies at the National Environmental Policy Institute (NEPI).

Mr. Nash is currently providing support and policy input to four EPA projects involving rule-making on engineered nanoscale materials, hazardous air pollutants (HAPs), priority testing of chemicals and the implementation of the endocrine disrupter screening program (EDSP).

As current President of the College of William and Mary's Advisory Board for the Jefferson Program for Public Policy, Mr. Nash provided oversight and technical advice to four graduate students in their research project, “Needs Assessment for Nanomaterials Regulation” for the US EPA.  Mr. Nash also directed another student research project, "Evaluating Successful Redevelopment: An Investigation of Superfund."  Under Mr. Nash's direction, the results of the project were presented to principals in his consulting firm, senior managers and staff of Superfund, and members of several key Congressional Committees involved with Superfund.
