Seth B. Carpenter
Mr. Carpenter holds a doctorate and masters in economics from Princeton University and an undergraduate degree in economics and French from the College of William & Mary. He currently serves as a financial economist for the federal government.
Mr. Carpenter specializes in the implementation of monetary policy, financial markets and open market operations. In addition to domestic topics, he has well published research on aspects of the international system as well as selected foreign countries.
A former W&M professor of Economics (1997-99), he has also taught at George Washington, Johns Hopkins and Duke Universities.
