Robert C. Bobb

Mr. Bobb earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Grambling State University in Grambling, Louisiana, and a Master of Science in business from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He also completed the certificate program for Senior Executives in State and Local Governments at Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government, where he served as a member of the Executive Alumni Council.

Currently Mr. Bobb is serving as President of the DC Board of Education. Prior to that, Mr. Bobb was D.C. City Administrator, Deputy Mayor, and the District of Columbia Homeland Security Advisor. Mr. Bobb was City Manager of Oakland, California from 1997 to 2003 and spent 11 years as the City Manager of Richmond, Virginia from 1986 to 1997. Before that, he served as City Manager of Santa Ana, California and Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Mr. Bobb is the current President of the City of Oakland, California Black Chamber of Commerce, Fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration, Fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration, member of the ICMA, former president of the NFBPA, and Fellow of the Jefferson Program in Public Policy at the College of William and Mary.
