Robert A. Blair
Class of '68
Mr. Blair received an A.B. (mathematics) from the College of William and Mary in 1968 and his J.D. in 1973 from the University of Virginia School of Law. He began his legal career in Boston and has practiced law in Washington for 30 years, currently as President of Blair Law, PC.
Mr. Blair serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the National Advisory Board of IPG Photonics Corporation, is a Trustee of the Mark Winkler Trusts, and manages several real estate partnerships. He was the founding Chairman and is now Chairman Emeritus of the S Corporation Association. Mr. Blair is active with various charitable organizations, served on the Governor's Economic Advisory Council under Governors Baliles and Wilder and was a member of the Board of Commissioners of the Virginia Port Authority.
Mr. Blair chaired his 25th and 35th Reunion Gift Committees as well as chaired his 10th, 15th, 20th, 25th and 30th Reunion Committees. He co-founded The Friends of William and Mary Men's Tennis to provide financial assistance to the team and chaired the Development Committee of the Board of Advisors of the Jefferson Program in Public Policy. |
