Academic Program
The Department offers a wide variety of courses and encourages faculty-student interaction. Qualified seniors may choose to do a research project leading to a degree with Honors in Physics. The Department offers graduate study and research which leads to the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees. Typically, only students intending to pursue a Ph.D. are accepted into the program. Although applications for the graduate program will be considered at any time, it is advisable to submit all materials before February 1 to be assured of consideration for admission in the fall. This program is funded by the NSF and will be offered in the Summer of 2005. This program provides undergraduates genuine involvement in actual research.
