Built-in Image Editor
Please note: Do not upload your high resolution images into Cascade and start the editing process there. Check out one of our recommended image editors for initial edits. To help keep our shared database “sprite” and allow us to continue to maintain up to 20 versions of every file in version history, we still discourage uploading very large files of any type.
Need to tweak one of your images*? Use Cascade's built-in editor. Select Edit on the file and you are presented with a simple image editor. This editor handles basic resizing and cropping. Hover over any of the editor buttons for a button description.
*We recommend using a file type of .jpg for all photos and for graphics without a transparency. For graphics with transparency, we recommend .png.
To Resize
Adjust the width or height values (1), leaving the proportions locked to avoid image distortion (2), then click the check button to apply the changes (3).
To Crop
Click and drag to create a bounding box on the image (1). Adjust the box to the desired dimensions and placement on the image (2). Click the crop selection button to apply the changes (3).
Other Transformations
You can also flip your image vertically and horizontally or rotate clockwise and counterclockwise with a single button click. Don't like what you did? Use the undo button, or simply don't submit the change(s).
Save & Preview your edits. Then Submit >> Check Content & Submit.
