December/January/February’s Outstanding Student Leader: Philip Lavely
What sets Phil apart from any other leader is his selflessness. Phil can be relied on to get the job done and to helps others in their struggles. He is such a warm and caring individual, always going the extra mile to make a new friend. He also is incredible humble, not once ever bragging about his wonderful accomplishments. Phil’s nominator expressed that Phil was “a hidden gem of this campus” and will be doing big things in the future.
March/April’s Outstanding Student Leader: Katie Sepanski
Often, titles and position power help leaders influence others to get involved with group endeavors. Katie needs no title to lead; she was able to get others on board and raise incredible amounts of money by passionately and clearly communicating the purpose and value behind the causes she was advocating for. Katie truly is the prime example of an authentic leader, and her ability to get others excited and involved has personally been a learning experience.
