The Recognizing Achievement in Leadership (RAIL) Committee is pleased to announce that Stuart Miller ’13 is the recipient of the December/January/February 2011-12 Outstanding Student Leader of the Month Award for his work with the Ukulele Club.
Nominator Lisa Cox said, “Stuart’s enthusiasm and genuine care for everyone he works with have made him one of the best leaders I’ve seen. He loves everything about the club and it’s impossible to be unexcited when Stuart wants to do something.”
The Recognizing Achievement in Leadership (RAIL) Committee is pleased to announce that Timmy Siverd ’12 is the recipient of the March 2012 Outstanding Student Leader of the Month Award.
Timmy is the Head Resident for the Bryan Complex and advises the Hall Council in that role. He was also involved in Senior Class Gift as the Events Chair and was the Social Co-Chair for the Student Conduct Council.
Nominator Taylor Feenstra said, “I think his well-rounded leadership and exceptional skills set him apart. It is clear from what has already been stated that he is very involved in campus life at William and Mary and he is well known as a leader.”
The Recognizing Achievement in Leadership (RAIL) Committee is pleased to announce that Mary Grech ‘12 is the recipient of the April 2012 Outstanding Student Leader of the Month Award.
Mary was co-President of Lafayette Kids, a group providing tutoring, healthy snacks, and educational programs to children in a low-income housing community in Williamsburg .
Nominator Madeline Grimm said, “Mary has an incredible drive and dedication to helping others. She is constantly trying to find new ways to improve the tutoring programs of Lafayette Kids and engage others in service. She gives everything to a project and other people, and everyone who knows Mary can speak to her persistent optimism, her refusal to accept defeat, and her belief that every child can, and will, get a great education.”
