December 2009/January 2010/February 2010
The Recognizing Achievement in Leadership (RAIL) Committee would like to announce that Myron McClees, J.D.'10 is the recipient of the January/February 2010 Outstanding Student Leader of the Month Award.
Myron is the president of the Black Law Students Association. He lead the W&M chapter to its second consecutive win as Chapter of the Region.
In the words of his nominator, Sharon Barksdale: "Myron is unlike the other student leaders at the law school because of his approachability and carefree attitude. He can be the funniest person to be around and can always say whatever is needed to make your day a little bit brighter, but he can also be stern and get down to business when the time is right."
The Recognizing Achievement in Leadership (RAIL) Committee would like to announce that Paul Lendway '11 is the recipient of the March 2010 Outstanding Student Leader of the Month Award.
Paul helped found the Haitian Earthquake American Relief Team (HEART). The almost 500-person organization coordinated numerous events and organizations across campus in their relief efforts.
In the words of his nominator, Xiaoyu Guo: "Instead of thinking of himself, Paul habitually thinks from other perspectives first. He won't let go any of the opportunities that would bring value to the community he lives in."
