It is also difficult and expensive to try out new games. Board Game Club will attempt to solve both of these issues, by allowing students at William and Mary to meet other board game players, try out each other's games, and find the players needed to play games.

Historic European Martial Arts Club: Griffin Fechtschule

Purpose: This organization aims to teach the martial practices of medieval-renaissance europe through the study of period texts and their modern interpretations. The Griffin Fechtschule will blend history and athletics to recreate authentic period combat focusing primarily on the German and Italian schools of longsword, dagger, grappling, and single-sword, and staff. We will also briefly look at some other Wester martial arts including Greek pankration, 18th century small sword, and British Bartitsu.

Howard J. Busbee Finance Academy

Purpose: The Howard J. Busbee Finance Academy's main goal is to act as a liaison between students, faculty, and alumni for the betterment of undergraduates pursuing business careers, with a focus on financial services. The 8-10 officers of the Finance Academy are mentors and resources to the larger group of 150+ students involved in the organization. The Finance Academy's flagship event is From DoG Street to Wall Street, and it is held every fall, generally at the end of August. Other events are held throughout the year and focus on creating learning and networking opportunities for members.

BLSA members also participate in social activities and community service projects. Two of BLSA’s most significant accomplishments are its annually hosted events: Law Day and Oliver Hill Weekend. On Law Day, BLSA invites undergraduate minority college students to the law school to give them an introduction to the school and encourage graduate education. Oliver Hill weekend was established to honor an African-American man who has contributed greatly to the legal field. On this weekend, we celebrate our successes of the school year and give out awards.
