The opportunity to participate in Greek social fraternities and sororities is a key part of the college experience for many students. The College of William & Mary is well known for being the site of the first college fraternity.
Fraternity and Sorority life at the College continues to be a strong tradition, and many diverse students find community, brotherhood and sisterhood in our approximately 29 Greek organization chapters.
For students interested in the specific experience of being part of a culturally-based Greek letter organization, William & Mary offers a number of Black Greek Letter Organizations and a Latin-based social sorority.
Further information about all aspects of Greek Life at the College can be found through the Office of Student Leadership Development.
