RAIL Leadership Award
The Recognizing Achievement in Leadership (RAIL) Outstanding Student Leader of the Month award was established in Fall 2006 by the Office of Student Activities in an effort to increase the frequency with which the hard work and dedication of students is acknowledged and celebrated. Each month members of TRAIN Leadership, a leadership peer education team, seek to recognize a student leader who made significant contribution to campus life. Be it through an ongoing dedication to a campus activity/organization or exemplary impact during the recent month, RAIL award recipients who add depth and breadth to the College.
Factors that will be considered in the evaluation of nomination are how the nominee demostrates the following: being an inclusive leader, being purposeful in his/her leadership, being an ethical leader, being process oriented, and how he/she empowers others.
