Nearest Safe Shelter in the Event of Lightning
Seek shelter in the clubhouse or pro shop at the course or utilize a vehicle for safe shelter. A golf cart is not a safe shelter.
Safe shelter is defined as:
- Any building normally occupied or frequently used by people that has plumbing and/or wiring to ground the structure.
- In the absence of a building as described above, any vehicle with a hard metal roof (car, van, bus, etc.) can provide a degree of safety.
Services provided:
- Several courses in the Williamsburg Area are utilized for Intercollegiate Golf events. As such, services will vary depending on the venue for the event.
- If your athletes require athletic training services before or after the match, please make arrangements at least 48 hours in advance.
