NEH Summer Stipends
The NEH Summer Stipend grant program provides $6,000 for two consecutive months of full- time research and writing in the humanities. Tenured and tenure-track faculty must be nominated by W&M to submit an application; two individuals may be selected to submit. Others, as indicated below, may submit without nomination.
- independent scholars not affiliated with a college or university;
- college or university staff members who are not faculty members and will not be teaching during the academic year preceding the award tenure; and
- emeritus faculty; and
- adjunct faculty, part-time faculty, and applicants with academic appointments that terminate by the summer of the award tenure.
The internal deadline for nomination
applications will be September 19, 2012. Applications must be
emailed to the [[wospadmin,Grants Office]] by , 4 p.m. on September 19, 2012. The Faculty Research Committee will review pre-applications to determine which two proposals will move forward to full proposal submission by the individual applicants to Grants.gov. The Office of Sponsored Programs will notify applicants of the FRC decision by close of business on 9/21/12.
The NEH application deadline is September 27, 2012.
