Audio/Visual Technicians

Job Description

A/V Technicians serve as technical assistants for events in the Sadler Center and Campus Center.  Techs set up and run lighting and sound equipment for larger events, usually in Commonwealth and Lodge 1.  Prior experience is not required, but can be beneficial. Pay rate: $7.75/hr

  • Working with theatrical groups and performers to determine A/V needs
  • Troubleshooting technical problems
  • Setting up and running light and sound for events in Commonwealth Auditorium and in Lodge 1
  • Operating and setting up basic audio-visual equipment for events and conferences
  • Assisting Building Managers on evenings and weekends
  • Ensuring the security of all A/V equipment
  • Assuming "on-call" responsibility several weekends per year
