Reves Center Semester/Year Tuition Exchange Programs

The Reves Center administers exchange agreements with 15 international universities, which receive W&M students and send their students to our campus. W&M students apply for this study abroad through W&M, and  pay regular W&M tuition plus a $275 application and off campus fee. Students pay room and board directly to the study abroad institution, so exchanges are an exceptional value for Virginia residents. Students select courses from the host university catalogue and earn transfer credit upon their return to W&M (grades are not posted on the W&M transcript).

The application deadline for exchange programs with a Fall or Academic Year option is March 15, with the exception of Kanazawa University (February 15).

The application deadline for exchange programs with a Spring option is October 1, with the exception of Keio University, McGill University, and National University of Singapore (September 5).

Reves Center Semester/Year Assisted Enrollment Programs

Some exchange partners offer an option of "assisted enrollment." W&M students apply for this study abroad through W&M, but pay the regular tuition of the host university directly to that university plus a $275 application and off campus fee.  The host university tuition is often cheaper than W&M tuition for out of state students, so this option enables out of state students to study at exchange partner schools.  This is also an option utilized by in state students if they are not selected for a competitive exchange program, such as St. Andrews. Students select courses from the host university catalogue and earn transfer credit upon their return to W&M (grades are not posted on the W&M transcript).

The application deadline for most assisted enrollment programs with a Fall or Academic Year option is March 15, with the exception of Kanazawa University (February 15).

The application deadline for all assisted enrollment programs with a Spring option is October 1.

Reves Center Sponsored Semester Programs

W&M students may study at six international universities with which the Reves Center has built special relationships. In La Plata and Sevilla, students enroll in one or two courses designed jointly by local and W&M faculty, and select remaining courses from the full university catalog. At Peking University, students enroll in a special semester-long program in Chinese language and culture, while at Oxford, students select from a broad range of regular course offerings. Students pay one fixed program cost to study in Argentina, Spain, China, and England.  La Plata and Sevilla coursework appears as William & Mary credit and grades on transcripts; students studying at Peking or Oxford earn transfer credit upon their return to W&M (grades are not posted on the W&M transcript).

The application deadline for sponsored semester programs with a Fall or Academic year option is March 22, with the exception of Hertford College, University of Oxford (February 1).

Dear Catherine,

Thanks for your interest in the position!  I’ll begin reviewing applications following the deadline, and expect to notify applicants of their status within two weeks.

Since you’re in Hong Kong, do you have skype?  If so, we could conduct an interview that way.

Best,

Emily
