Welcome to Yates Hall! It is located close to New Campus academic buildings, the Dining Commons (aka "the Caf"), William and Mary Hall, and the Recreational Center. As one of the largest of the freshman halls, it is home to 266 male and female residents housed on ten halls, divided between three floors and a basement. Each hall shares a bathroom. There are two lounges on each floor used for studying, programs and socializing. In the basement level, there is a television/recreation room. Laundry facilities are located in the basement and on the 2nd and 3rd floors. In addition, residents are frequently found outside on the large playing field or sand volleyball court. Yates Hall opened in 1962 and is named after Rev. William Yates, fifth President of the College.
