Welcome to Barrett Hall! Nestled in the middle of Old Campus, Barrett is close to academic buildings on Old and New Campus, as well as the Sadler Center, the Campus Center, Barksdale Field, and Colonial Williamsburg. The building consists of three floors divided into two wings with approximately 20-35 residents per wing in doubles and triples.

A Resident Assistant (RA) resides on each wing of the second and third floors, while one RA serves the first floor. The large portico in the back of the building provides an excellent location for hall and building events and activities. The first floor hosts two large lounges where residents often study, talk, or watch television. Barrett Hall opened in 1927 and was named after prominent Virginia civic leader Dr. Kate Waller Barrett. She was also the second woman to serve as a College's Board of Visitors member.
