Undergraduate

Registration Periods

Business School Continuing Majors and Minors for BUAD courses ONLY:

• Primary cart available: Monday, March 4 at 12:00 p.m. - Thursday, March 7 at 11:59 p.m.
• Set your BUAD course selections and alternatives
• For this registration period, only BUAD course selections will be considered. Any non-BUAD courses added to your cart will not be considered
• All majors may be registered in up to 12 BUAD credits. Senior minors may be registered in up to 9 BUAD credits. All other minors may be registered in up to 6 BUAD credits
• All continuing business majors and minors will have a second registration window for non-BUAD preferences
• BUAD schedules will be available to view on March 18

All Continuing and Readmitted Undergraduate Students:

• Primary cart available: Wednesday, March 27 at 12:00 p.m. - Tuesday, April 2 at 11:59 p.m.
• Set your course selections and alternatives
• Students may be registered in up to 16 credits maximum
• Registration selections will be processed in social class and priority group order
• Schedules will be available to view in the afternoon of April 15. 

Add/Drop Periods for Continuing and Readmitted Undergraduates (Register up to 16 Credit Hours):

• April 18 at 7:00 a.m. - June 30 at 11:59 p.m.
• August 7 at 8:00 a.m. - August 23 at 12:00 p.m. 

New and Transfer Students Entering Fall 2024

• Registration begins in the summer. Transfer and new first-year students typically go through the registration process in mid-July
• Further information will be provided in the College Studies course, on the “Check Your Registration Status” link in Banner Self-Service, and by email (so please keep checking your W&M email regularly!)

Final Add/Drop Period (Register up to 18 Credit Hours):

• August 27 at 1:00 p.m. - September 9 at 11:59 p.m.
• Overrides: If you received an override from an instructor, you must add the class before midnight Monday, September 9. You can view overrides posted by instructors for you on the "Check Your Registration Status" page in Banner Self-Service. Please note: instructors cannot register you for classes.

Pass/Fail Information

• The pass/fail election form will open for social class juniors and seniors on Tuesday, September 10. The election form will remain open through the withdrawal period. (Start date is subject to change.)

Withdrawal Period:

• September 10 at 12:00 a.m. - October 28 at 11:59 p.m.

Graduate School of Arts & Sciences

  • L3 and L2 military-affiliated students begin at 7:30 a.m. on each priority day
