Unofficial Transcripts

Requests for unofficial transcripts can be made via fax, mail, or presented in person. Unofficial Transcript Request Forms are available online and in the Registrar's Office reception area, Room 108, Blow Memorial Hall. Unlike official transcripts, unofficial transcripts may be faxed, but are not available in any electronic format. One copy of the unofficial transcript will be provided free of charge per year. Please photocopy the transcript if you require additional copies. Currently enrolled students may view and print their unofficial transcript via Banner Self Service.

Due to the implementation of the new student information system in 2003, we verify each academic record that was converted to ensure that the previous legacy record matches the record in our new system. Because of this, the time necessary to verify and issue transcripts from our new system has been increased. If you have not requested a transcript since June 2003, you are subject to this delay. We understand that many requests are time-sensitive and our office makes every effort to meet as many deadlines as possible. Students are reminded that their accounts must be clear of all fines and fees before a transcript will be released. The 1988 Virginia Debt Collection Act, Section 2.1-735, prohibits release of transcripts to any individual who owes a past due debt to a state agency.
