All unclassified students must register for summer sessions by completing the following:
1. Application and Registration Form. All unclassified students must submit this form to the Office of the University Registrar. The form will be used to create or reactivate the student's record in the College's Student Information System. Once the student has a registration record, he or she will be allowed to use the on-line registration system (Banner Student Self Service) to drop, add, and withdraw from classes. In certain cases, special permission may be required:
• You will need to contact the instructor in order to add courses designated as requiring permission from the instructor.
• For courses designated as requiring permission from the department chair contact the chair prior to adding the course.
• An override is required in order to add these restricted courses.
• All courses that are being audited require permission from the instructor.
2. Domicile Form (Application for Virginia In-State Tuition Privileges). This form is required for all students who expect to qualify for in-state tuition rates. It should be submitted to the Office of the University Registrar no later than the first day of classes of the summer 2009 term.
3. High School Students. In addition to the above, high school students must submit the following forms:
• High School Secondary School Report – to be completed by Guidance Counselor.
• Parental Notification and Approval Form – to be completed by parent/legal guardian.
• Parental Release Form – to be completed by student.
Bring all completed forms to the Office of the University Registrar, Blow Memorial Hall, Room 108 during the period described above for early registration. The Late registration and add/drop period begins June 1 for Session 1, and July 6 for Session 2.
Unclassified students will be granted access to the online registration system within twenty-four hours (one business day) of the activation or creation of the unclassified student record. Access to the student information system will be via myWM.
