Information for New and Transfer Students

Fall 2009 Registration dates for new freshmen and transfers

_{ALL registration periods begin at 1:00pm and end at 5:00pm (unless otherwise noted).}

Pre-registration - Register Up To 11 Credit Hours

• July 13 through August 19--Murray Scholars
• July 15 through August 19--Monroe and Sharpe Scholars
• July 20 through August 19--Transfer Students
• July 22 through August 19--All New Students

All students register for classes using Banner Self Service which is available through myWM. You will register up to a maximum of 11 credit hours during this first phase of registration. When you come to campus for New Student Orientation, you will have the opportunity to adjust your schedule and register for additional credits.

Second Registration Period - Register Up To 16 Credit Hours
August 25 - 8:00am to 12:00 noon

When you enter the second registration period, you will use the Alternate PIN that you received during your advising meeting. This Alternate PIN will be used during the second registration period and throughout the add/drop period.

Add/Drop Period - Register Up To 18 Credit Hours
August 25 - 3:00 p.m. through September 4 - 11:59 p.m.

After September 4, you will be unable to add or drop any courses to your Fall schedule.

Overrides: If you have received an override from an instructor, you must add the class by midnight Friday, September 4. Instructors DO NOT have the ability to register you for classes. You can view any overrides posted by faculty for you on the Check Your Registration Status page in Banner Self Service.
