How to Purchase Wireless Cell Phones
Cell phones and service are available to Departments for College business from two sources, the VITA State Contract and the GSA Contract:
The VITA Contract includes service from 5 providers: AT&T, Sprint, Verizon Wireless, Ntelos and US Cellular. The GSA Contract includes service from only 1 provider: Verizon Wireless

- Equipment and service pricing on the GSA Contract, contact Elizabeth Mallory at (804-305-7100) or elizabeth.mallory@verizonwireless.com for assistance.
- After deciding on the equipment and a service provider, contact Nina Earl at (221-3952) or [[nearl]] in the Office of Procurement to place an order. All orders for new equipment and service must go through the Office of Procurement to the contract vendors via a TSR for the VITA contract or an eVA requisition for GSA contract.
- Each department will be responsible for the cell equipment ordered and should maintain records as to the party that will be accountable for the charges to each telephone number and the safety of the equipment.

Conversion from one service provider to another or from a personal cell contract to a college provided cell contract:
Additional documentation will be require and must be coordinated by the Office of Procurement and the service provider.
Disposal of Unused Phones and Equipment
Cell phones, accessories, and equipment that have been purchased with State funds are the property of the College of William and Mary. Old, obsolete cell phones and equipment may be bundled and sent to Property Control for disposal.
