Office of Procurement

Our staff includes Virginia contracting officers trained and certified by the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of General Services, Division of Purchases and Supply, with additional training and certifications from the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP) and Institute for Supply Management. We are proud members of the Virginia Association of Governmental Purchasing (VAGP) and the Virginia Association of State Colleges and University Procurement Professionals (VASCUPP).

Mission

The Office of Procurement and Fixed Asset Management support the integral goals of the College of William & Mary and Virginia Institute of Marine Science. Procurement accomplishes this by partnering with the university community to acquire the goods and services needed, in a timely manner, at the best overall value while serving as effective stewards of the university's assets.  Through development of systems, policies, procedures, and training, the Office of Procurement ensures the university remains within Federal, Commonwealth and internal guidelines in ways that enhance the university's ability to accomplish its mission.
