Branch Out Regional
Branch Out Regional alternative breaks allow students to visit and impact another community in the region for a day or two,
while enjoying the company of fellow William and Mary students. Each BOR is led by two Site Leaders, with 10 participants. All trips include issue education, strong direct service and reflection. At least three BOR alternative break trips are offered each semester.
All Branch Out alternative breaks are alcohol and other drug free. See more about our policy.
All Branch Our Regional trips are now free to participants!
What's a Branch Out Regional Break Like?
A recent participant in a Branch Out Regional break said of her experience working with the issue of access to higher education: "The trip went really well! It was so inspiring to see all of those young men and women have so many ambitious aspirations. It really helped me focus on how important academics are and how I want and need to rekindle my passion for learning. I loved it!"
How to Get Involved
Keep an eye on the OCES Events page for upcoming Branch Out Regional alternative breaks - we always post them there, and on the volunteer listserv.
Sign up in the OCES office, Blow Memorial Hall 326, between 8:30 and 5, Monday through Friday. You'll pay a $5 deposit (cash or check) to hold your spot, which will be refunded at the beginning of the trip. You must sign up before 5 pm on the Wednesday before your alternative break.
Sign ups are first-come, first-served.
