Hospice services is care provided to people in the last stages of their life to provide comfort, ensure quality of life, and facilitate dignity in death. Hospice services include medical support and social, emotional and spiritual attention to the terminally ill patient and family. The care is primarily provided in the patients homes, but also in Assisted Living or Long Term Care facilities.
Volunteer Duties: provide one-to-one companionship, sitting, errands for hospice patients in their homes and/ or assisted living, nursing homes; assist volunteer coordinator 1-2x's per month with projects for the hospice patients; clerical work 1-2xs per month.
