Description

The Williamsburg Contemporary Art Center (WCAC) exhibits a wide variety of contemporary paintings, sculpture, and crafts by outstanding regional and national artists. The Center's Art Education program includes community outreach programs with opportunities for children and adults to engage in art on many levels. The Gallery is a volunteer-operated, nonprofit organization, membership fees and sales help support the Gallery. Major exhibitions open monthly with a preview reception for members and their guests.

Need

The Williamsburg Contemporary Art Center is interested in partnering with William & Mary students to enrich the greater Williamsburg arts community. They are looking for students to take on new leadership roles in Social Media/Marketing and Event Planning, as well as having Art and Art History students work together to produce W&M Student Showcases. WCAC is also looking for consistent volunteers to work at the front desk, greeting visitors in-person and on the phone. These opportunities will provide students with new skills and  the experience of working with a non-profit art gallery while also allowing them to give back and connect with the Williamsburg community.
