Pineapple Kids

Pineapple Kids strives to address the effects of homelessness on youth and families through weekly tutoring and mentoring at Pineapple Inn, a temporary housing unit; engaging in continual issue education, and building coalitions and support for its cause through campus and community advocacy and awareness.

Volunteers engage in reflection twice every month to remain informed on the issue of homelessness, reflect on experiences, and become advocates for this issue in whatever form that may take.

Get Involved

Volunteers serve at Pineapple Inn every Thursday from 4:30-6:00pm and Friday evenings from 6:00-7:30.

  • Thursday sessions

  • Fun Friday sessions
    • Focus on fun enrichment activities and field trips.
  • Reflection
    • Reflections provide a safe space to discuss weekly service, share best practices, and remain educated on trends in youth homelessness and cycles of poverty.
