Grants for Further Action

Extend your trip by acting locally

Reorientation - or the process by which you transfer experiences and lessons learned on break by reorganizing into communities of action - is a critical part of alternative breaks. Sometimes people join a group and begin volunteering locally in connection to the issue their trip addressed, sometimes they link up with advocacy groups, and sometimes they make really big life shifts. Whatever you do, all of that is part of being a lifelong community collaborator.

We are proud to offer Reorientation Grants to financially support projects to individuals or groups who have been on alternative breaks to further their service and learning after returning to campus; because social change happens most effectively when people work together, we prioritize group projects (even if just one member was a former breaker). Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
