Students Helping Out Williamsburg (SHOW Day)

Tuesday August 25th from 9-1pm 

 A service program just for incoming students and built into your Orientation schedule.

Why Join
  • Learn about W&M community engagement and opportunities for service
  • Get off-campus and explore Williamsburg through direct service at local non-profits
  • Serve alongside 150 other incoming student and meet upperclassmen leaders

 SHOW Day begins  at 9am in Sadler Center. Incoming students will be broken into smaller groups with two upperclassmen leaders and provided transportation to a local service project. Everyone will return to campus for lunch and reflection and the program ends at 1pm Don't worry, it's built into your Orientation schedule, so you won't be missing out on other sessions.

  • Working in the Habitat ReStore
  • Grounds maintenance at the Dream Catchers Therapeutic Riding Center
  • Weaving yahaken mats for the Jamestown Settlement
  • Prepping Head Start classrooms
  • Serving with Heritage Humane Society
  • Preparing school gardens
