James Willard is a research intern at AidData working on geocoding World Bank Mapping for Results projects and activity coding. He is majoring in International Relations. His research interests include China-U.S. relations, international development, and the intersection of national security and foreign aid. This summer he was an intern at the Near East South Asia Center for Strategic Studies at the National Defense University and a William & Mary D.C. Summer Institute on National Security Fellow. He plans to continue his studies in Chinese and pursue a career in foreign policy, national security, or international development after graduation.
