Sarah joined the Institute in 2011. She is Visiting Assistant Professor of Biology and Marine Science at the College of William & Mary and the Virginia Institute for Marine Science (VIMS). She received her BS and BA from Kansas State University and her PhD from Scripps Institution of Oceanography. Her research interests include population dynamics, fisheries impacts on food and livelihood security, and modeling predator-prey interactions. She is co-director of the GIS Center at Lake Victoria in Jinja, Uganda.
