Changes to Networked Printers at W&M

Summary

Over the next year, IT will be upgrading the W&M network. As a part of this upgrade, we will gradually reconfigure all of the printers connected to the campus network.

Full Description

Over the next year, Information Technology will be upgrading the W&M network.  As a part of this upgrade, we will gradually reconfigure all of the printers connected to the campus network.

IT representatives will visit each campus department to conduct an inventory of printers connected to the W&M network; this includes IKON copiers/printers. As we inventory the printers, we will tag them with a small white label. Once we tag a printer in your department, we ask that you contact IT before moving the printer.

A few weeks after we inventory printers in your department, we will schedule a time for a second visit. During this follow up visit, we will reconfigure all of the printers in your inventory. Because of this change, the printer settings for each computer using these reconfigured network printers will need to be modified. IT will take care of these individual computer settings while on site.
