Checking Your Account Balance
Account holders: Visit myWM and click on the Services tab. One login, multiple functions. The big plus is no PIN number to remember. However, if you have someone else that needs to know your balance you can add a PIN for them to use.
PIN Numbers to Check Your Balance
PIN Numbers (Passphrase). Because you can see your balance from within myWM, a PIN is not needed. However, if you want to allow someone else to see your balance, maybe your parents or a friend, you need to create a PIN for your account. This is only needed if you want to give someone other than yourself access to your balance information. They can go to the W&M Express Deposit screen enter your WMuserid and this PIN to view your balance. Maybe they will add some money while they are there.
Minimum Deposit Amount
No, we did not want to do this, but it became one of those necessary evils. Web deposit costs have escalated. If you still need to deposit less then the $20.00 you can do so at any walk-up locations with cash or a check. You can still use your credit card at the ID Office.
Convenience Fee: $1.00 per transaction
Each transaction costs 10 to 25 cents, 3% plus cost to the credit card company, secure servers and development time... You do the math*, it all adds up and we now need to charge a fee. We have set the fee at $1. You can still avoid this convenience fee by coming to one of our walk-up locations. Plus you can still use your credit card at the ID Office with no fee added.
*average deposit is $38.00 @ 2.9% credit card fee via the web +.10 cents web fee per transaction.
Our average total cost = $1.20 per deposit.
