All positions are posted to the William & Mary jobs site at jobs.wm.edu. There are other resources to be considered when advertising your position. A list of those resources can be found on the Office of Diversity & Inclusion website. The posting period for Professional positions is generally a minimum of 30 days and 10 days for Operational positions.
Newly Created Position:
Posting a newly created position does not require the Hiring Official to take any action. Once the position has been approved, it will be routed to your ES who will contact you to discuss the posting. If you need to create a new position submit the request through PeopleAdmin’s Position Management module accessed at jobs.wm.edu/hr

Updating or Modifying an Existing Position:
Posting a position that has been updated or modified will not require the Hiring Official to take any action to post the position. Once your changes to the position have been approved, it will be routed to your ES who will contact you to discuss the posting.
If during your review you decide to make changes or updates to the existing job description, submit the request to update/modify through PeopleAdmin’s Position Management module at jobs.wm.edu/hr

If after completing the position review, your position description does not need any changes, the Hiring Official will submit the posting request through PeopleAdmin’s Applicant Tracking. Jobs will be posted at jobs.wm.edu/hr and will be accessed by job seekers at jobs.wm.edu

Supplemental questions can be a useful tool to screen or gather additional information about applicants. Things to consider:
• Supplemental questions may be created using the minimum qualification to help screen out applicants who don’t meet the minimum requirements.
• Supplemental questions may be created using the preferred qualifications to help identify applicants you might consider further for interviews.
