The Virginia Retirement System now posts your annual benefit statement and Member Benefit Profiles using a secured account called myVRS. Your Member Benefit Profile will be available on September 1, 2009. To view and print your Member Benefit Profile you must register with myVRS at https://www.varetire.org/myVRS/. Effective September 1, 2009 you will no longer receive a hard copy of your Member Benefit Profile, however you can view and print it through myVRS.
Prepare for Online Member Benefit Profile Distribution
If you have already registered for your myVRS account, please log in before September 1 to confirm that you readily know your username and password. If you have not registered for your secure myVRS account yet, please view the online tutorial.
What can I do on myVRS?
View Retirement Information—along with accessing your Member Benefit Profile through myVRS you can also view information such as membership dates, account balances, purchase of prior service information, compensation history and basic life insurance coverage.
Create Retirement Estimates—you will be able to create a retirement estimate using current live data pulled directly from the Virginia Retirement System. You can simulate different retirement pay out options to determine which will serve your retirement needs.
Retirement Planner Tool—provides a comprehensive look at your future retirement. The planner has tools that will allow you to calculate some additional income, such as spouse’s income, social security, and expenses, such as health insurance cost, taxes, and living expenses, to develop a holistic view of your retirement.
Update Personal Information—you can change or correct your contact information to ensure accuracy.
Check Status—you can check the status of requests such as prior service purchases, retirement applications etc.
