A Look at the Upcoming Greek Leadership Institute
| February 8, 2010
Every year over 200 student leaders in Fraternity & Sorority Life come together at the annual Greek Leadership Institute to benefit from the knowledge and experience of various staff here at William & Mary (Alumni Association, Career Center, Student Activities, etc.) as well as a featured keynote speaker. This year I'm very excited because T.J. Sullivan will deliver the keynote, "Apathy Myth: Real Answers to Unmotivated Members", and I've been following his amazing blog on student leadership since just before I applied to be Chairman for the Council for Fraternity Affairs back in 2008. The blog offered me pointers on my speech and has offered tons of helpful insights into how to be a better leader since then, whether in Greek Life or outside of it.
This year T.J. will also lead one of the seventeen breakout sessions that will follow the keynote address. Breakout sessions are led by knowledgeable facilitators and two of my favorites I've attended over the years are Alumni Development and Marketing your Greek Experience, both of which were very useful to me as a leader in my chapter as well as in other organizations like Alma Mater Productions. I've enjoyed serving on the GLI Steering Committee and I'm sure this year's Greek Leadership Institute will be the best on yet!
