Transfer Student Registration Day
August 9th is a day set aside to welcome transferring students to the Tribe. Learn more about this important event and register!
Transfer Student Orientation
Incoming transfer students will check in at the Sadler Center on Friday, August 23, from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. for the mandatory Orientation for all new students (The first Orientation Program begins at 2:00 p.m.). Orientation programming will continue until Tuesday, August 27th.
Orientation is an exciting event at William and Mary. Not only is it a great time to start bonding with the other new members of the Tribe, but there are also many traditions that every new student should experience. We understand that as a transfer student you may have already gone through one orientation and have become accustomed to life on a college campus. However, because William & Mary is a unique insitution, the College mandates that transfer students attend orientation so they will not only learn expectations of members of the Tribe but also about what makes William and Mary one of the best Colleges in the country.

On-campus housing for transfer students is offered on a first-come-first-serve basis. Learn more about housing opportunities!
**It is important to note that checking in to your on-campus housing is seperate from checking in to Transfer Orientation. Please refer to the check-in guide for on-campus transfer student housing.
The College requires all students living in college-owned property to select a meal plan from a variety of options, based on a student's designated social class. Social class is determined by the College and is based on the number of credits approved at the time of the meal plan selection deadline. If you are living off campus, you are not required to have a meal plan, but may still purchase one if you are looking for a convenient way to eat on campus. Learn more about the various options for meal plans.
Transferring Credits and Registration
Once you have completed your course work at your previous institution, please remember to send your final transcripts from any former college or university to the Office of the University Registrar. Questions?
You will have the opportunity to register for up to 11 credits beginning August 9th at 2:00 p.m. through August 16th at 5:00 p.m. You will register for the rest of your classes during orientation after you have met with your faculty advisor.
