Peter is a rising senior at the College double majoring in English and Government. He hails from Minneapolis, Minnesota, but no, he doesn’t have “the accent.” Peter has a twin brother, but they’re not identical. In fact, his twin brother is almost six inches taller than him (not that most people aren’t almost six inches taller than him). The opportunity to flee from Minnesota winters was definitely a motivating factor that pushed Peter toward William & Mary. However, since coming here, he’s found a multitude more reasons he loves calling the College home.
On campus, you can often find Peter running to and from Kaplan arena, where he’s probably practicing as a member of William and Mary’s varsity gymnastics team or otherwise serving as the service chair for the Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC). However, he can also be found frequenting his second home in Tucker Hall, where he’s likely in a meeting for ROCKET magazine. Peter is a late-night Swem owl, and since coming to the east coast, Aromas and Dunkin’ have competed for his caffeine fix of choice. He also has a true affinity for Cookout, and he’s constantly fighting the temptation to race over and appease his chicken quesadilla “addiction” after a late night study session. Since most of Peter’s free time (apparently) revolves around food, he would be remiss not to mention that his favorite spot on campus to snack and socialize is the Daily Grind (10/10 would recommend the avocado toast).
Peter’s on-campus involvements span an array of social circle on campus, and he loves William & Mary for its diverse and supportive community. As a past OA for GGV (Who Are We?), Peter was able to further his commitment to diversity and creating an inclusive environment on campus for all of those who are lucky enough to call William & Mary home.
