John Teague is a member of the William & Mary class of 2019, and intends to major in Government. John’s love for American history and international relations brought him to William & Mary, but he hasn’t forgotten his Oklahoma roots. He can often be seen riding his American quarter horse to class while humming Garth Brooks tunes. John’s heroes are his loving and admirable parents, who consider him and his older brother--John’s only sibling--to be among their top two favorite children.
As a sophomore, John was an orientation aide for transfer, St. Andrews, exchange, and non-traditional students. His favorite things about his first year as an OA included learning choreographed dance moves and not being judged harshly for sweating during all hours of the day. In addition to being an OAD he is involved in a social fraternity, and worked as a faculty research assistant in the Government department. He is currently training for the Richmond marathon, which he aspires to finish before the sun sets on race day. John loves Texas Rangers baseball, OKC Thunder basketball, Saturdays (which are for the boys), and all things William & Mary--especially the orientation program!
