Joanna Hernandez is a Sophomore at the College studying Hispanic Studies and Sociology. She is also involved in Fitness Instructing at the Student Recreation Center as a Zumba, Body Combat, and Body Pump instructor, which is AWESOME because she gets to dance, encourage people, and make a hip-shakin’ fool of herself on a regular basis. She is Vice President of Spanish and Culture for Global Medical Brigades and recently joined HOPE, an organization focused on peer health education. She is also a Big Sister for Big Brothers Big Sisters, where her Little graciously lets her do crafts and play Candy Land. Joanna's favorite things include ORIENTATION(!), balloons, Tribe Pride, smiling, spontaneous dance parties, causing mischief, and climbing Aztec pyramids. In the future, she hopes to keep traveling forever, skinny dip all the Great Lakes, be a guest speaker at the College, become an immigration lawyer, and conquer the earth. Joanna is so honored to be working in the Green and Gold Village with Sir Charles Bartholomew Engh IV, named People Magazine’s “World’s Best OAD” eight consecutive days and credited with the revolutionary invention of the Shake Weight. Get pumped and ready, GGV!
