Incidental Amount Changes Effective 03/01/2016

Summary

New Travel Regulations become effective March 1, 2016

Full Description

Effective March 1, 2016 the following change will apply to the College’s Tier III Travel Policy:

M&IE INCIDENTALS MUST BE REDUCED TO 75% FOR TRAVEL DAYS

Under the published Travel Tier III policy, all M&IE Rates are governed by the U.S. General Services Administrations (GSA).  These rates are used to determine the maximum meal reimbursement and incidentals amounts.  Under the GSA policy travelers may only receive 75% of the incidental amount for travel days.

The College’s Tier III Restructured Policy Per Diem calculator has been updated to reflect this change.  The new link to the Calculator that will prorate the incidentals is:  http://www.perdiemcalc.net/va-restructured-pr/ - Commonwealth of Virginia Tier III Restructured Policy Per Diem Calculator-incidentals pro-rated on travel days.
