Recharge Policy

General Guidelines

What will xxxx pay for?

State supported property that can be described as  broken or not working correctly, is considered a repair that will be covered by the Facilities Management operating budget..  This type of work is considered part of our state-mandated responsibility and the state provides funding for this work.  Examples: fix brokent windows, replace malfunctioning door closer, adjust dampers in a room, and service pumps.

What will the department pay for?

Installations, moves, construction and renovations are not supported by the Facilities operating budget.  Labor, materials and overhead associated with such a request will be charged to your department.  Some examples of this are: hang a banner, build a table, move boxes, install a sign, and renovate a lab.

For auxillary services organizations, such as housing, Dining, and the Bookstore, all work is chargable.  The state does not provide funding for receipt-supported operations and expects these organiztions to fund repair or construction requirements from their self-generated revenues.

Most special events that require Facilities support will require a charge according to rates approved by our campus Recharge Committee.  Our recharge rates can be xxxxxxx on our website.
