New Student Orientation
We want you to make sure you feel at home here at William & Mary from the very second you step on campus, so we do everything we can to keep New Student Orientation both informative and fun. During Orientation you will be attending programs designed to acclimate you to the College's code of conduct and academicexpectations. You will also be getting to know your roommate, hallmate, and fellow classmates better through mixersand guided discussions. Relax, these are fun introductions to campus that will give you plenty of time to meet your new friend group!

The transition to college life is often a major milestone for family members as well as the student. We recognize that family members have questions and concerns and the Family Orientation Program is designed to answer those questions.
If you need to make reservations for your family in local motels or hotels, you should begin to make those plans as soon as possible. Williamsburg tends to be especially crowded during the late summer months. Explore Visit Williamsburg for a wide variety of lodging options from hotels and bed and breakfasts to campgrounds.
