Absence Notification

Except for reasonable cause, students are expected to be present at all regularly scheduled class meetings. Students who miss classes due to a death of an immediate family member, extended medically related absences (more than 1 or 2 days), general family emergencies, personal difficulty and campus crises should fill out the form below. Forms should be submitted to the Office of the Dean of Students, 109 Campus Center or faxed to (757) 221-2538. Letters will be sent via campus mail to professors; this process typically takes 1-5 days depending upon individual circumstances.
